York Pride continues to grow – and this means we’re always on the lookout for ways to give people more opportunities to get involved with us!
🌈 Volunteer at York Pride 2025
York Pride is only possible thanks to the incredible support of our volunteers – and we need you!
We’re looking for enthusiastic, friendly, and reliable people to join our team for York Pride 2025 on Saturday 7th June. Whether you’ve volunteered before or are completely new, we’d love to have you on board.
💪 What You’ll Be Doing
On-the-day volunteer roles include
Welcoming guests and giving out information
Supporting the Parade or helping with set-up
Guiding visitors around the festival site
Helping at Pride HQ, info points, or backstage
Assisting with accessibility support (e.g. on trackway areas)
Keeping the festival friendly, safe, and inclusive for all
⏰ What’s Involved
Shifts are flexible – you can volunteer for a few hours or the full day.
You’ll receive a full briefing and support on the day.
Volunteers get a York Pride 2025 wristband, drinks/snacks, and our heartfelt thanks!
💜 Who Can Volunteer?
Everyone is welcome! We’re especially keen to hear from:
First-time volunteers
Community-minded individuals LGBTQ+ people and allies
Anyone looking to gain experience at a major event
Volunteering is a brilliant way to meet new people, support your community, and be at the heart of Pride.
You’ll be part of a supportive team helping deliver North Yorkshire’s largest one-day free event, with over 17,500 people joining the celebration last year!
