York Community LGBT+ Events

Discover and share LGBTQ+ events in York with our York Community LGBT+ Events Calendar—your hub for connection, celebration, and inclusion.

York Pride is committed to fostering a sense of community and connection throughout the year, not just during our annual festival. That’s why we’re proud to host the York Community LGBT+ Events Calendar, a central hub showcasing the diverse range of LGBTQ+ events happening across York and the surrounding area.

From social meetups, workshops, and support groups to live performances, fundraisers, and educational events, our calendar is here to help you discover what’s happening in the LGBTQ+ community. Whether you’re looking to connect with others, explore new activities, or show your support, you’ll find a variety of opportunities to get involved and celebrate the diversity of York’s LGBTQ+ scene.

We also encourage the community to take an active role in shaping this resource. If you’re organising an event, whether it’s a small gathering or a large-scale celebration, you can submit it to be featured on our calendar. By sharing your event with us, you’ll reach a wider audience and help strengthen connections across the community.

The York Community LGBT+ Events Calendar is more than just a schedule—it’s a way to bring people together, foster understanding, and celebrate the vibrant and inclusive spirit of York. Together, we can ensure that York continues to be a welcoming and supportive place for everyone.

LGBTQ+ Clothes Swap

Friday, 28 November

Bring your old clothes, swap them for new ones, and swap accessories/ shoes/ unopened toiletries too.

You’ll be able to drop off clothes from 11, but we won’t allow anyone in to swap from 11:45 to ensure everything is set up. The food traders and bars will be open as normal during the event.

There will be a changing room and a mirror.

If you don’t have clothes to swap but you want to take clothes, that’s fine! We’ll be taking financial donations of £2 per item to Trans Support Hub CIC.

We’ve already got plenty of donations from our previous events, so whether you arrive at the start or the end of the event, we’ll have items to choose from. Once you’ve paid for entry, you can exit and return as much as you want, so you see what else people have brought for swaps.

We try to recycle clothes where possible, but we would really appreciate it if you could check that donations are clean and in good condition (i.e. not bobbled, ripped or stained).

Where possible, we try to provide more specialist trans-related items, such as binders and chest enhancers. If you’ve got any, we’d really appreciate it as they don’t stay with us for long.

We have some packing boxers and packers in stock available for purchase.

Please check out the Eventbrite page for full information and get tickets (lower price tickets are available).
